Independent Non-executive Directors

WONG Po Yan, C.B.E., J.P., was born in 1923, is the founder, Chairman and Managing Director of United Oversea Enterprises, Ltd. Mr. Wong has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Business Administration from the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong and has over 50 years of experience in the field of commerce. Mr. Wong has been the Chairman of the Nuclear Safety Committee of Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station; the Hong Kong Affairs Adviser; Vice-Chairman of the One Country Two Systems Economic Research Institute Limited, the Honorary President of the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong and the former Chairman of the Airport Authority of Hong Kong.

WU Wai Chung, Michael, was born in 1949, was appointed as an independent non-executive director in 2002. He was formerly the Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and a Commissioner in the Strategy & Development Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in the PRC. Prior to that, he was the deputy chairman, chief operating officer and executive director responsible for the Intermediaries Division, comprising the Licensing and Intermediaries Supervision Departments until his departure from the SFC on 31st December, 1997. He is also the Executive Director of SW Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited.

Mr. Li Wai Keung, was born in 1957, was appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director on 27th September, 2004. He graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic and holds an MBA from the University of East Asia. He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has held a number of positions with listed companies in Hong Kong, including Henderson Land Development Company Limited and Sino Land Company Limited. He has been a non-executive director of Guangdong Investment Limited, a listed company in Hong Kong, since May 2000 and has been a Director and Financial Controller of GDH Limited since August, 2000. He has been an independent non-executive director of Hans Energy Company Limited, a listed public company in Hong Kong since July 2002.
